safety? Just a bit of fluff

I was told I could not go on a work site unless I had closed in shoes. Apparently those in the higher office of Safety said they should cover my toes so they cannot be seen. They suggested I buy a pair of crocs which afford as much protection as a fluffy pair of slippers. (they conveniently sell Crocs in their shop) I know which ones seem more comfortable to me!
