How about this for a scheme.
Instead of giving money to people for having children why doesn't the Government give child care credits.
These 'credits' could be used as and when, but would be invaluable for mothers' wishing to go back to work. Makes sense to get people into the workforce, even part time.
Ergo, they are earning, spending wages, the childcare industry gets a boost from the Government coffers.
The credits could be used by either parent. They could be saved for later...up to 5 years later.
